At a building fire, two of the most dangerous positions to be in are: - Searching past the fire on the fire floor &
- Searching on the floor above the fire.
You have to be at your best and making mistakes has to take the back seat. In a matter of seconds conditions can change and the most experienced firefighters can find themselves in a life or death situation. Topics include: recognizing dangers on the fire ground that contributes to firefighter disorientation and/or entrapment, firefighter safety, self-rescue techniques and rescuing trapped firefighters. SCBA use is required with this course. . |
