 |  Lt. Charles Schmid is a 24-year veteran of FDNY in the Special Operations Command and is currently assigned to Squad 41 in the Bronx. He is a certified New York State Fire Instructor and an Adjunct Instructor for the FDNY Technical Rescue School, Bureau of Training and New York State Fire Academy. He is a frequently requested instructor for areas of specialty such as: High Angle Rope Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, Firefighter Survival and Forcible Entry. He has developed several specialty rope applications and forcible entry tools. He resides with his family in Warwick, NY.
