8-Hour Metal Cutting/Torch Work (June 23, 2024)
Whether it is a person stuck in a piece of machinery, a person trapped under a building collapse, or a person impaled on something, cutting metal has always been a big part of the responsibilities of the special operations company. This class is designed to delve deeply into the process of cutting a wide variety of metals. From stainless steel to aluminum and everything in between, this class is designed to teach rescuers to size up different metals, select the proper cutting tools, and finally cut a wide variety of metals. This class will be utilizing a wide variety of metal cutting tools including gasoline cutting torches, oxy acetylene torches, plasma cutters, rotary metal cutting tools, and many others. Students will use and master these tools in a wide variety of rescue situations and on custom made rescue props. If you have ever wanted to have a better understanding of metal cutting and get tons of hands-on cutting time... this class is for you!!

Work Uniform/ Clothing (Steel Toe Shoe/Boots)
Structural Turnout Gear/wildland/ USAR acceptable
Helmet/Hard Hat
